Free Mulch

Due to the Public Works Garage Renovation Project and restructuring of the Public Works Compound, mulch will be available at the City's wastewater treatment plant on Rte. 38/Lincoln Highway, west of Peck Road. Hours for pickup are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays, 7 to 11 a.m. Please bring a shovel and containers for the mulch. The City does not deliver mulch.

St. Charles Township also offers free mulch, but it is independent of the City’s mulch program. Residents may contact the St. Charles Township Highway Department (630-584-3496) for additional information on obtaining free mulch.
